Today we did the Miracle Mile at cross country. I was in the JV race. My time wasn't as good as it could've been because I was just trying to win so I kept behind Cole until with about 100 meters left I blew past him and beat him by four seconds. I was feeling pretty comfortable the whole race so I bet if I had gone all out I could have gotten around 5 minutes flat.

everybody is kind of taking this week off so I was the only one at practice today. I just did the Art Dye run, so an easy four miles. Too pumped for Root Beer Mile tomorrow.

Today we did the root beer mile. After they shoot the gun off you gulp down a can of root beer as fast as you can. You then run a lap. Then you repeat three times. I was going to try to stay up with the leaders and try to win, but Mahonri and Walton took it out to fast and I couldn't drink fast enough. Mahonri ended up winning in 7:20 which I'm pretty sure is a new record. I wound up battling Adam for third place. We were neck and neck the first three laps but I outdrank him on the last lap and got a good 100m lead before he was done drinking. My final time was 8:17. Once I got done, I went straight over to the trash can and puked my guts out.

Tonight I wasn't feeling to good so I just did the dam run. I could feel the Root Beer mile the whole way so I took it pretty easy going at 7:30 mile pace. I've got to get back into my training for Foot Locker.

Today I showed up to practice but nobody was there (I think all the Varsity guys are taking a week off) so I went by myself. It was cold so I was really glad I decided to wear my tights and running jacket. I ran down past AFHS and through some neighborhoods until I figured I should head back. The original run was supposed to be 8.5 miles but I took a wrong turn so it ended up being 9.

Went on an extended backwards mountain run today. felt pretty good until with a couple of miles left the sun went down and it got really cold. I got kind of confused in a couple spots along the run because the whole trail looks different now that the leaves fell off, but I eventually found my way.

I was planning on going on a longer run today like more around eleven or twelve miles but after doing yardwork all day my mom came home and said I only had 50 minutes to run before we were going to some family thing. I ended up just running to Legacy Park and back. I took the first three miles fast but once I got there my stomach didn't feel good so I took it easier for two miles heading back and then took the last mile really fast home.

Well today I was going to run with the team at three because that's always when we've met on Monday's. But today they left at two. My mom called me on the way to take Grace to swim that she saw my team running down by Walmart so I ran over there to try to catch them but I was too late. I just ended up doing a backwards dam run and then I headed over to Art Dye for about eight miles.

Today at practice we did a 7x7 threshold workout. It wasn't too hard we did a short half mile warmup and then ran hard for seven minutes. Adam said that we went at about 5:30 pace. On our second one we did about 5:20. We did it on the Art Dye trail and afterwards did about a half mile cool down.

PM-Just did a four mile dam run. It was really windy coming across the north part of the golf course which was kind of annoying but otherwise it felt great.

Today we did a smash bros run at Adam's house. After a game we went through hidden oaks and the golf course. At the end Walton, Jon, and Mahonri left but Little Warner, Adam, and me all went down to Art Dye.

Today we did 6x400m hill repeats. I felt really good today. The only people who came in ahead of me today were Jon and Mahonri which is a first for me. I usually am terrible at hills. 4.5

Pm- Did a dam run with the golf course cut out. We went to Rumbi for dinner tonight and i could feel it the whole time. 3.5

Today at practice we did an easy two miles to the pole and back. We then went inside Lone Peak and played indoor tag. We did a twelve minute game and a ten minute game so I think I probably went farther then two in the game but I wasn't wearing my watch so I don't know for sure. My legs are feeling the boost in mileage for footlocker so I don't think I am going to run again tonight.

Didn't run because my legs were too tired after 4 hours of Basketball, 3 hours of tennis, and 2 more hours of mountain biking.

Today only Mahonri, Little Warner, and Spencer showed up to practice. We were going pretty fast so Spencer dropped off after about a half mile. Mahonri said we went at about 6:25 mile pace.

Tonight I just did an easy three and a half. probably around 8:00 minute mile pace.

At practice today we did 6x1000m. We didn't do them too fast but we were still going at a pretty good pace. I felt good and we did them on grass so I was able to go barefoot which was nice.

Easy three and a half.

I was going to do an Art Dye run but decided to go on the canal over by Ashton's house. I didn't think that the weather would be too bad because it had stopped snowing when I went out but ten minutes into the run it started really coming down. I was really glad I had worn my warm stuff.

Went up to sliding rock today. It was the coldest run I have ever done. On the way up it was just windy but once I got on the actual road to sliding rock I was running through foot deep snow. Once I got  there it was pretty cool, and the way down was much better because I was really able to pound down because the snow gave me extra cushion

Nobody showed up to practice today which was probably due to the below freezing temperatures. So I ran down to the Temple then looped back through PG. My legs felt kind of tired throughout the whole run but otherwise I felt good.

Today There was only five of us so we went and played dejavu tag. Jerem slipped on some leaves while he was in tank mode and hurt himself so he headed back to Lone Peak while we were going to go on an athletic run. We got to the river and we couldn't find a spot to cross without getting wet. Walton went across anyway but then got stuck on the other side. For about twenty minutes after we threw rocks into the river trying to splash Walton and build a bridge at the same time. He ended up slipping on our bridge and getting soaked in freezing cold water. We decided to just run back to the school after that. When I was heading out I saw Little Warner limping around. I hope he gets better by footlocker. I wanted to see if I could hang with him.

Did 6x400m hill repeats. Splits: 1:22, 1:22, 1:16, 1:21, 1:18, 1:21. It was pretty cold so I did a longer warmup.

Today we started off by playing dejavu tag but after Spencer didn't tag anyone after 20 minutes we went to the dock to choose a new person. On the way over rocks started falling from the sky and we looked over and the American Fork team was throwing rocks in the lake. We invited them to play but only four of them played. Varsity had to get ready for Nike regionals this weekend so they couldn't stay. After a game we ran with Af to the pole then went back to the locker room.

Did a five mile tempo run tonight. Went down to the Temple and back. Splits were 6:05, 6:28, 6:29, 6:28, 6:15.was kind of annoying going down the road to the Temple because of all the construction. I ended up getting some hurdling practice. Did a quarter half mile warm up and cool down.

At practice we played tag. I got some pretty good scratches all over my back but I won so it was worth it. About three miles total because we played three games of dejavu tag and one of indoor tag.

5 mile temple tempo run. Splits 5:52, 6:27, 6:25, 6:36, 6:33. It didn't seem like the first mile was that fast but Im good with it. I think I am going to do some more mileage before we leave to Spokane. I will probably run up there with my cousin because he got invited to the seeded race so he'll be training too.

I came into this race hoping to break nineteen minutes because my training has kind of buckled lately and I haven't been eating too well. The four of us that were in the race went for a two mile warm up around the  campus before heading to the line early so we could get a good starting position. We did a couple strideouts then did our cheer. we got some funny looks because we were the only ones who did a cheer.

The race started and I quickly jumped to the outside so I could move up easier. I waited until we past the fence and got onto the loop and then I started moving up. I ran with a couple Idaho kids for most of the first lap and all of the second. I don't know what my split was for the first mile because I didn't wear a watch and there was nobody calling out splits.

After the first mile the switchbacks started and I was kind of worried because hills have been my weakness all year. We started going up and after the second one I felt great so I surged and passed like ten people. I don't know if it was the elevation or what but I was just able to fly up the hills today. We made it to the top and I really tried to push it down so I could make up the lost time going up. The road going down to poopout is kind of foggy but I just held my position. going up poopout was good. I past about six or seven people by the mile two. There was no marker or timer or anything so I am glad that I had studied the course beforehand.

Going down I got past by one or two other guys. going up reservoir I surged really hard and past at least seven people. With a thousand meters to go I got into a rythm with a couple of california kids who were cussing their mouths off. Once I hit the gauntlet my team was there cheeringme on wich gaveme enough to pass two more people. On the track I stayed in my position until the very end when I passed one more guy.

Overall I think I did pretty good. I didn't take it out too fast which has been my problem all season, which led to me passing a lot of people that last mile. I got fifth on our team which came as a surprise. I then watched the seeded race with Cole and Mike.

Today we played tag for probably the last time in a while because indoor starts tomorrow. We did a mile warm up though.

Did a temple run. Had to pee so I stopped behind a tractor by the road. Then a worker or something drove in and yelled out who was there. I kind of panicked so I just stayed hidden behind the tractor. He started walking over and I booked it. He didn't see me though because I was wearing all black.

First day of indoor today. We did five miles. We went around my house then down the golf course trail all the way down to the poles on the Art Dye trail. I guess somebody was vandalizing signs down at the park and when they got caught they said they were Lone Peak cross country. Luckily we were at footlocker when it happened so we had the perfect alibi.

went down to the pole and back. Then we played one game of dejavu tag, and one game of indoor tag. There was a new kid at practice today. Every body was calling him cheetoh but I didn't catch his real name.
