Millcreek Canyon to 6200 S. and back. My garmin said the climb (13th e. to the top) took about 1:06 but that can't be right. I think I lost reception a few times so I am guessing around 1:10.
Big day at the gym. Ran 6.56 miles (yes that is about 1/4 of a marathon!) in 43 minutes with the last 1.5 in at 6 min pace. This is the longest I have run since June 5th. I obviously felt a few twinges here and there but for the most part I think my knees held up fairly well. I am definitely not ready to run hills and I probably won't try the pavement for at least week but at least things are finally looking up. Coincidentally I also got an email from Nike today for another shoe test. Being able to run again, at least a little, is similar to the feeling I had when I got my driver license.
Road the www.ithinkcanyons,com ride today. 112 miles, 12,000 ft climbing. Started at Skyline High, out Wasatch Blvd, Little Cottonwood, then Big Cottonwood Canyon, back on Wasatch, then Millcreek Canyon, then Emigration Canyon and finally back to Skyline. It took about 6:50 which was about 16.2 mph. Most of the riders chose not to do Little Cottonwood so I basically did the ride solo. My sister was nice enough to join me for the final climb up Emigration. I always like long bike rides until about mile 90.
