I was running late for my run and in my hurry forgot my gloves.  My hands were numb with cold.  I also forgot to turn on my Garmin for the first 3.5 miles.  Then I toward the end of my "10 mile" run I forgot how to add so ended up running further than anticipated.  Ye gads!

Average pace about 9:00.

Legs a bit sore from yesterday's short intervals.  I must need to do more speed work if 4 @ 2 minutes made my quads sore.  I can run up and down a mountain and not be sore the next day but a few fast intervals on the flat land and I'm feeling it.  Sheesh!

Math and running never mix well.

LOL sounds like one of those runs. Been there done that. I think your legs are just sore since you dont normally do those is all it is. I have tried to trust the garmin on stuff like that. But since opted to just do them on a track. And then I know for sure where I am at. Great job on the run today. And I hope your hands have thawed out.:)

Yeah running and math don't mix. But, running or not, my achilles heel is not math but arithmetic. I found graduate level math classes easier then elementary school arithmetic (and I did much better in the graduate school classes). I probably couldn't add on my run because my fingers were to numb to count on! It is the same way for me with spelling vs. writing. My brain's wiring is not quite right.
