am: 3.. all this morning and at school i wasn't nervous at all and had tons of energy

so we got there and warmed up. i finally got to see tyson boyer again (first time in 2 months!) and he warmed and cooled with me. i felt pretty good on the warm up but i was having to use the restroom a lot...

so the race started and i got up in second behind tommy, cause he loves leading the race the first mile so i thought i might as well draft off him. I felt super good on the first mile, like it usually does, we came in around 5:10 which is a little slow but good for the compitition that was there.

after the first mile i took the lead like i planned and started to try to make my break off, but after about 200 meters that pace i just couldn't hold it, it felt really hard to keep going. so after backing back down again tommy and jason caught back up with me and tommy took the lead again. us three moved around the 2nd lap and i was struggling pretty bad but kept moving with them. with about 1k left i pushed hard again and after trying to pass tommy for about 10 seconds (He just keeps elbowing you and running in front of you where ever you go so you cant pass him!) i retained the lead and kept charging. the rest of the race i just kept looking for shadows and wanted to throw up. coming in i saw my time was quite hideous for me but i didn't really care cause all i wanted was to be region champ....and at that moment i was! :)

so overall i was just happy to win, hope this flu-ish thing goes away soon, but our team ended as 2nd overall which was a little disappointing but you know, i'm proud of how hard everyone has worked this season. mostly all of our runners are brand new. they'll own it next year. But as for this year...states next week!

pm: easy 5. felt sluggish again. ran with the girls at the beginning but at the turn around coach roberts wouldn't let me turn with them cause he said i was ugly. it was alright though, just need to get lots of sleep. I need to get ready in every way i can!

pm: 1 mile warm and cool with speed workout of 1x800, 1x600, 1x400, 1x200, 1x400, 1x200. i felt pretty good. loved the rain, it felt really good. splits were around 2:19, ~1:40, 1:06, ~30, then an all out 56 and 27. nice workout with good times. didn't feel way smooth though, which i've kind of been like all week.

pm: not sure the milage. i think we warmed up a mile and a fourth then did 8 wavelenths. i dont really like this workout cause its such steep down hills that it hurts my ankles. plus it was slippery grass so i thought i was going to slip and hit the cement at anytime. then cooled down mile and a fourth. not the best day
