| | Getting back to the basics. 70 minute run out in the freezing cold from my house to the hospital, the high school, and back home. My right arm was red/purple and I couldn't move it all that well. The run went better than I expected, I was having stomach cramps all day so I expected the run to be way painful, but I guess my core workouts protected me or something because I didn't feel too bad until I hit the uphill at Aggie Blvd. This is a few days late but shoutout to fellow bloggers Garek, Talon, and Connor for making Nationals. What a time to be alive.
2 miles at the rec center after a couple hours of rest, some good core with Kash, and a mile cooldown to add to 13 for the day. I havent hit 12+ daily miles since my 17 mile run of h*ck in August

| | I had senior pictures today and community performances for our schools advanced choir that night, so I only had time for a 45 minute run. Alternated between a mile in the indoor, a mile outside, repeat, repeat. The last mile I had to run in the harsh winds of the winters night which was the opposite of rad.

| | Some photographers requested to take pictures of me running, so I obliged. A few minutes, a couple of stretches, and a lot of strides and sprints later I embarked on a 70-odd minute run. I couldn't start the run until 4, so it was super cold and dark for the last few miles. My first 4 miles were at a 6:40 pace, which felt pretty easy, but I want next to no speed for the next month, just base building. On the last mile, which involves an 800m steep hill climb, I was joined by a friendly Husky. Normally a few dogs bark/chase me, but not today. I like to think the dog gave me the "Blessing of Alaska", which causes canines to view me as one of their own.

| | We had a wrestling assembly today, so I went on a 90 minite run during school instead. Managed to get in 13 miles. Went to team practice after, did core, then 2 miles as a cooldown with strides at the end

| | I had to go out to U of U for a choir recording today. After that I walked around salt lake and temple square with some of the amigos. Got a sick picture with Emily with the temple in the background for the gram. We watched the U of U choir concert after, and then I had to drive back home to take the ACT in the following morning. Just give me a dang 34 already @collegeboard

| | 8 miles at McCoy shoutout to my truck for dying the third time this past month, anyway I wore my Wildhorses and just ran on some trails and 4-wheeler roads, and it was pretty great. The newly fallen snow made the ground soft and it felt like a distance run on the track. The hills killed, but it was still a really good run. I haven't been able to enjoy a run like this for a long time. The first bit of the run was 6:20 pace, but I had to tell myself to chill out. I strided some when I could and it felt nice. After that another choir performace that night. Had a sick road trip with Emily in the parking lot because she had my overnight bag from U of U and we were on opposite sides of the parking lot which was like a mile long. I got my senior pics back and they're great. Good day, I can barely even remember my (last) ACT.
