No run yet today. Both yesterday and this morning, my back has felt pretty tight. Last week was a good week of running. I need to have a few more the next few weeks.

Sure felt like Monday today.  I didn't want to run at all, but forced myself to do 6 miles easy over to Hurricane and back.  I actually felt pretty good after about 2 miles.

I didn't run today, came home from work mowed the lawn and did a bunch of yard work, then didn't really feel like doing anything else.  My back has been bothering me ever since the long run on Saturday.

Feeling a little better this morning, still having some back pain. Only did 4 miles easy.

Did tempo run.  I ran 3 miles easy up to Hurricane Substation (7:30 pace) then did a two mile tempo back into a headwind.

1- 5:38 Felt good

2- 5:49 Stomach hurting

Overall 11:27 (5:44 average)

This is the first time I've done this little tempo route this year.  Last year at this time I was doing this quite often.

Ran 18 miles down the STG course this morning.  We had a large group, Mike, Bill, Logan, Steve, Aaron, James, Marcie and another girl.

The pace started off quicker from the start than I was hoping.  My legs were feeling really tight before the run.  I didn't feel very good on yesterday's run, but figured I better get a long run in, so I forced myself to come over.

After the first few miles, Aaron, Steve, and Mike took off.  The rest of us hung back, but kept going at a pretty good pace.

Actually once I got going I felt pretty good.  I ran the first 15 pretty solid (6:35 pace) then pretty much dogged it the last 3 miles.  By the time I hit town my legs were pretty beat up, so I just ran easy back to the park, Bill caught up to me and helped pass the time.

Overall, good run.  I'm slowly starting to get back into shape.  I just wish it wasn't such a slow painful process.  I am looking forward to summer and more time to train.

If a guy was smart he would just stay in shape year round, but that has not been the path taken by this Little Buddha.  I get in shape by the marathon in October, but by Christmas I'm back to being out of shape and overweight.

2 miles easy with Sunny, pushed Jarren in the stroller while Jansen.
