Woke up to a text message this morning at 5:15. The wildbull, was parked in my driveway ready to run. Who knows how the long the guy had been in the neighborhood. At first I really didn't believe he was at my house ready to run, but after a few more text messages and finally going outside to check, sure enough he was at my house and ready to go. We drove up to Rockville, dropped off his car and got started while it was still dark and nice cool temps. Did about two miles, before I had to stop to use the bathroom. After that felt pretty good, except for my cough which I battled the entire run. I've had this cough all week, which has been no fun. Besides the cough the run was great, I told Bill some stories from my days in college, which made the miles go by faster. We stopped in Virgin for some water and a GU, then kept the pace pretty even to the top of the La Verkin Twist, then Bill took off he hammered 3 miles pretty good, while I did my best to keep him in sight. Coming down the hill my right hip really starting hurting. It is almost marathon time, so it makes sense that the hip flares up, any time I get to this point in my training the hip starts hurting. Once we hit La Verkin, we decided to just add on a few more miles to make it 18, which would put me at 60 for the week, so we just ran around town.
