This hasn't been a very good week of training, been pretty busy with many other things going on.

Got over to the race pretty early and did a 2 mile warm-up.  Didn't recognize anybody at the start.  I saw one guy that looked fast and two women that I figured would be pretty fast.  The one girl was wearing SUU gear, so I figured she would probably be pretty fast.

1-6:02 I started off prett fast and the SUU girl and the guys I figured was pretty fast both went out with me.  We were all pretty much together for the first mile.

2-6:03 I struggled some on this mile and dropped to third, stomach started hurting like I needed something to eat.

3-5:51 I felt a little better during this mile, but couldn't close the gap much on the second place guy.  He ran like 15 miles faster than me and I think the girl beat me by about 50 seconds.

.13- 42 seconds.

18:39 (5:57 pace) Anyway, it was nice to get out and run a little faster.  I think I could have broken 18 if I would have been in better shape and racing harder, but I still felt like it was a good experience.

I got a cool heart rate monitor as an award, so that part was nice.  I really want to get this PF healed up so I can get back to training.  I would like to do the Painter's Half in January and be in better shape.
