Dodging lightening bolts for 17 miles with the Wildbull and the Bear.  We had a fun run this morning, ran down the Kolob road through Virgin and back to my house.  We took it pretty easy coming down, there are some pretty good downhill sections.  Pretty much as soon as we started we got rained on.  It wasn't too bad, until about mile 8 then it really picked up for a bit.  The scariest thing was the lightening, it was real close, in fact we saw a fire startup from where some lightening hit not too far from the road.  Once we got to Virgin, the Wildbull took off and pushed the pace the next 5 miles.  I just tried to keep pace, but was about 15 to 20 seconds back.  I closed the gap a little on the hills right before the big downhill on the La Verkin Twist.  Then I opened things up the last two miles on the downhill section of the Twist. I hit 6:09 and 5:38, so I was moving pretty good.  We finished up with a nice easy mile.  Anyway a good run, glad Bill and Cody came over and got me out of bed.
