Basketball this morning. Feeling a little sick today, didn't really want to come to work, but it is more of a hassle to call a sub.

Real good workout tonight.  Jordan had ball practice at the high school, so I decided to do my 1000's tonight, instead of Wednesday as I was planning on doing.

It was still really hot when I started 90 degrees.  I did a 3 mile warm-up, then hit the track.  The plan was 6x1000 meters @ CV pace with 200 meters recovery, basically 2:00 minutes.

Interested to see how my times would compare on the track with my course in La Verkin.  1-3:30 (5:37 pace) Went out and felt pretty good on this first one

2-3:29  (5:36) Still feeling good

3-3:29  (5:36) Starting to warm-up, took a little longer recovery after this repeat.  I decided to take off my shirt which probably scared the other runners on the track, but the Little Budda needs some sun.

4-3:33  (5:42) Struggled

5-3:30  (5:37) Better and back on pace

6-3:30  (5:37) Worked pretty hard on this one, but still ended up with the same time.

I was pretty pleased with this workout for the following reasons.

1. I did this alone with nobody pushing me, which is how most of my workouts go

2. Warm temperatures

3.  Times were real consistent.

 Did 2 miles easy as a cool-down.

Glad to hear that the little budda made it out! Make sure it doesn't get sun burned! Great job on the run!

do you have a permit to let that thing out? I am surprised the dog catcher did not bag you! Great work out. and way to work it!

Nice job, Dustin! Those are great times to run, especially when you're doing 6 of them, played b-ball in the morning, hot weather, and not feeling well.
