Good run down the course this morning. Had a large group Bill, Steve, Nate, Ben, Dave, and James. First 16 miles were nice and relaxed. I picked it up for 3 miles before our last water stop. 6:37, 5:54, 6:31. I stopped at mile 18 got some water, then reset my watch. Ran 18 miles in 2:12:58 (7:23 pace)

Last 5 miles I did tempo miles. The goal was to break 30 minutes.

1-6:12 up Winchester Hill

2-5:55

3-5:51

4-5:55

5-5:42

29:38 (5:55 average)

It felt good to run fast at the end. This was a good run for me. I haven't done anything over 18 this summer, so I was needing to go at least 20. I think if I can run a few more 20's I should be good for the marathon. The shin/knee pain was still there this morning, but was able to run through it.

Nice run! Wish Logan and I would have been in town. Way to rock it down the course.
