Finally, a good tempo run.

I had to go back to Pine Valley tonight to mow, this time I took Sunny and the younger boys.  After mowing for about an hour I got ready and took off for a run back down to Central.  I was planning on doing a 2 mile warm-up and then 6 miles of tempo, and the 1 mile cool-down.  However, after jogging down to the church which was 1 mile I felt ready to begin the tempo.

1-6:29 This mile was mainly uphill, leaving Pine Valley

2-6:17 Kind of rolling

3-5:44 Now we are starting to hit some nice downhill

4-5:57 Mostly downhill to flat.  Mentally kind of losing it

5-5:41 Good downhill and refocused

6-5:40 Another good mile, thinking I would stop after 6, but was feeling good so I kept going

7-5:48 This mile was a tough flat mile and I struggled the last .5

41:41 (5:57 average)

Did just 1 mile cool-down and then Sunny picked me up and we drove home.

Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this run.  I've been struggling and this was a good workout to make me feel a little better.  I think more than anything the change of scenary was nice.  The temp's were ok, but not as cool as yesterday or I would have preferred, still quite warm out when I was doing the workout.

Good job man. Like I said a couple weeks ago. "Your faster than you think". So keep that positive mojo flowing up through STG and you'll be surprised at how well you do.

Nice run Budda. Was good to hear when you texted me. I ended up on the road hauling gas all night.
