Busier today than yesterday, but got in a better workout. Got home from work at 6:30 but just barely had my first real scare with driver's education tonight we about got hit down on riverside drive pretty scary, similar reaction to when I'm running on the trails with the club and something goes wrong. After scout tonight I did 2 miles on the treadmill, but got sick of that pretty quick. Even though it was pretty dark, I did two miles out on the road. My wife get worried about me running in the dark, but I was pretty safe tonight. First mile up past the bridge 7:15, back home was 6:45 so I'm starting to feel a little better.

I hear you about running in the dark...my wife worries as well. There is a new pathway along a roadway adjacent to my neighborhood that I run on now that is great and really don't have to cross any roads (just cross streets). I have all the reflective gear that I wear when I know I am running on the roads instead of pedestrian pathways. Better to be safe than sorry...but it seems that I have more issues with cars during the day when people are in more of a hurry...like last weekend on two consecutive days when people just don't look both ways before pulling out and nearly hitting me. Gotta be an observant runner and run facing traffic.
