Qualify and run Boston before I hit 50... but after I complete my sprint goals

Six miles on neighborhood roads this morning so that I would be back in the house in time to take the ever thrilling first day of school pics of Travis. Maclay starts a week earlier than the public schools, so he is now off and running for his junior year - wow. Cynda gets another week of lounging around the house before heading off for sophomore year in Gatorville. Basically just tried to wake up during the first mile (8:19), but then worked the rest of them between 7:55 and 7:37 for an overall average (7:52) a few seconds faster still than last week's 6-miler on the trails.

That's probably because the public schools are slack, lazy, tools of the corrupt teacher's unions and all they care about is their pensions and time off whereas private schools are motivated only by altruism.At least that's what our local Tea Party claims.

If I spelled altruism wrong it's because I went to public school.

Close, Rob, but in my experience, private schools are motivated by maximizing the opportunities for tennis outfit-wearing, fossil fuel hog SUV-driving, permanent make-up-wearing, artificially enhanced upper frontal-having women to meet and chit chat in the drop-off lanes in front of the school... of course, never turning off or dismounting said fossil fuel hog SUVs. Other than that, I couldn't be more pleased with the kids' school.
