This was supposed to be 15 miles at Marathon pace but I bonked on the last 4 miles. My legs were done and by the end I felt like I couldn't give anymore so I just slowed down. I'm sure it was the accumulation of miles especially during the last week but certainly with 2 big hikes in the past couple of weeks and some compressed training it was bound to happen. I felt like I needed to finish the run even though the last 4 weren't at pace. My foot hurt and the outside of my foot was hurting from compensating. I didn't feel anything else getting sore until I bonked. Then everything hurt. |
