There was a 95% chance of rain due for 12 noon. I snuck out the back door at 11:50 and could immediately smell the rain in the air...... one of the benefits of having a big nose. I figured the 39' degree temperature and 15 mph winds would make this one interesting as well. Sure enough, about two miles into the run, the sky opened up. I was even more surprised to see some snow flakes falling. Anyways, even though it was messy, the run turned out pretty good. 7:17 avg.
4:36 am start. Foggiest morning that I have ever experienced. I ran into the neighborhood behind our place, and couldn't even see the edges of the road or different streets. I would think I was running in the right direction, and would end up running onto someone's lawn. It was kind of dangerous and fun all at the same time.
I went out at lunch and ran the last bunch of miles with Jim my co-worker. He had already run 5 or so miles, and we tacked on some more road/trail miles. Fun stuff, although my choice of trail was still a bit wet and muddy.
