My manager was nice enough to let me run today before our department brought Chinese food in for lunch.  Nice six miler with a stretch of it along the Nashua river.  50 degrees and little to no wind.  Very enjoyable.  I can't believe I'm running Boston in 18 days. Very excited for the atmosphere. 

Obviously you never know what is going to happen during 26.2 and my training has been sub-par.  I would like to say I feel fit and ready, but I'm not sure......  this adds to the uncertainty and excitement.

I'm due to run 20 Saturday, so my intention was to run at a slower pace today as to not ruin my chances for a decent long run tomorrow.  I can never follow my own advice and I went to fast.  Whatever, it is what it is.....  I couldn't help it due to the nicer weather.

She's a beast. She ran a 21 minute 5k with me on St. Patrick's Day and recently ran a 5:41 indoor mile in Boston.

After I witnessed her do it, I said to myself, "Now I'm going to have to top that".... as her Dad who is still supposed to be the boss ya know.

I went to an outdoor track and ran a 5:33 and almost puked.... Nothing like a 44yr old trying to stay relevant.

My Rickety miles know no pace. Sub 7 minute mile pace and 13+ minute pace.... They're all the same.

I need to explore some maintenance work. Mobiliy exercises and stretching would probably be a good start.
