am- artic circle 3 mile morning run
pm- today was 4x800 @ 1600 race pace. So i was supposed to go like 2:28 for my goal time but i didnt do that great. the first was 2:34 and i finished like behind everybody. i was mentally not there. i was dwelling on the negatives of doing this workout i didnt realized that i could give more. the second was 2:33. i still was a little negative and then i remembered what Coach had said to us during spring break when we did the mile repeat workout; about we need to come to practice and give our best to the workout, even if your legs hurt and other crap, your mind needs to be always positive. So the next one for the first 400 i started out strong and was behind preston i believe. Then the last 400 i just started pushin and passed preston and finished after Paul and Uncle Drew. then the last one i went "very strong" and finished 7ish seconds behind Uncle Drew. it felt good to finish behind them. 5.25 miles
