4 easy miles in the morning. For the first time in forever it was warm. About 48 degrees. This resulted in all the snow melting leaving behind puddles and ice. After falling 3 times in 10 minutes I switched from the ice to the puddles. No more falls, very wet feet.

PM: 12 miles on the treadmill at an average pace of about 6:45. Last mile at a marathonish 6 minute pace. Glad I didn't go much further because the combination of indoor warmth and a "technical" shirt was bringing me close to the infamous Logan Fielding Syndrome.

AM: 7 easy miles outside. It got cold after yesterday's warmth. This resulted in several unhappy suprises when my foot made its way through semi-frozen puddles.

PM: 5 miles on the treadmill

11 easy miles in the morning. I was tired of running on the treadmill so I bundled on the layers and vertured out into the cold and wind. These were the coldest conditions I have dared face this winter. Thanks to a lot of clothes I was fine. I did finish the run with drops of ice on my eyelashes and eyebrows.

I failed to mention that Sunday's run left me pretty sore. I must be a little out of shape if 12 miles at a decent pace does that. I suppose I need to start picking up the pace on my easy runs. I have been trying to avoid pacing myself recently, instead going by time rather than distance. I have ususlly been running at what feels like a 7:30 pace although I suspect I often go slower, especially when the conditions are bad.

10 easy miles in the morning. There will be no more running today because I am working late tonight and my body is tired.

10 miles this morning before work. My outside thermometer said 20 degrees, but it was actually closer to 10. I was cold.

PM: 5 miles on the treadmill with a 5K tempo run in about 17:50

8 miles this morning. I was feeling tired and had a couple twinges so I decided to cut the run a little short. This week is still somehow turning into a major unplanned mileage bump. I don't need to push things and end up with an injury.

It was a little warmer than is has been (about 32 degrees) so I took the risk and wore shorts. It felt good. Ended up running 13 miles in 6:28 average pace. Started closer to 6:45 and gradually picked up the pace. Finished with a couple 6:00 miles. This one will probably leave me feeling a little sore, but it was fun.
