6.5 miles in 48:46, 7:30/mi, HR 151.  Somehow, Garmin managed to lose a mile....rather, the Garmin Training Center lists my run as 5.5 miles, but shows all 6.5 miles in the graphs.  I think Mr. Garmin is needing a data wipe and a reboot.

Okay, so I felt tired again today.  Not surprising since sleep was long but very fitful last night.  Plus, yesterday afternoon, I started feeling lousy and it got worse throughout the day....felt like my sinuses had freezer burns on the insides which gave me a headache that just got worse.  Add on that the fact that getting out the door for runs has been tough lately and I'm wondering what's going on.  I'm guessing it's the dreary weather.....I definitely have more energy when the days are longer, so I guess this time of year is just going to be tough.  Oh well.  Form drills and core exercises afterwards.  Need to pare these down some as I think they're leaving my legs tired the next day.

Gotta be the weather, happens every fall to me despite my best intentions. You're not the only one up here with that issue. The other thing that gets me this time of year is not having a clear race goal, which always helps once Jan/Feb rolls around and I pick one. A guy today was trying to sell me on Newport in May. Know anything about it?

Something has really gotten me the last couple of days...I know this time of year does take a bit of a toll.

Thought you were aiming for the new Seattle marathon next June/July? I'm going back to run Yakima Canyon in late March so my goal is set for the next few months. I understand Newport is pretty fast and flat....maybe ask Sean Sundwall about it. He ran it last year and was talking about getting folks from the local area and the blog onboard to go back this year, I believe.

My club is talking about doing the new Seattle race as a group, but I may do Newport first and then the Seattle half (it's June 27). It's a pricey race, so I'll see how it develops. As a half I'd have a better chance of running with some people I know, so that's the thinking. With Newport I have a better shot at a cutting some time from that Tri-Cities race, which I'd like to do. It's all still just a thought.
