8 months until Christmas. I just joined the blog. Hello. My wife and I just moved to Heber, UT from Michigan. Let's say my training up to this point has been rather casual. That said, the last two weeks have been better, and I got out this morning for a few miles with Sammy (my dog) which will lead to my first day of more than one run. Sammy and I decided today that we will run every morning before work.

I'm more than willing to meet up and run with other runners in the area for workouts, long runs, easy runs, whatever. My training can be sporadic at times, as I'm sure you'll note from the log. So I'm up for any type of run any day.

PM Run:

3xMile (approximate distance) I ran by time rather than distance.

Location: Soldier Hollow: Let's just say I wasn't on any paved road. Uphill for each of the repeats, full recovery. Each mile successively faster. Weather was good. No real wind.

Glad you are on-board! Welcome. I rarely am in Park City, but I frequent SLC often. We could meet for a run sometime this summer. Maybe at Mountain Dell or at Guardsman pass (get some major trail/altitude training in)

Welcome to the blog! Where are you from in Michigan? I went to college in Grand Rapids some years ago (am in northern Utah now). My wife and I are actually flying out to DTW in a week or so to see family. I wanted to run the Riverbank 25K, but unfortunately got injured so can't do it.

Yes, welcome! I hear you are on the WBR team- you'll love it! Super competitive, so that should give you some incentive to be more serious in your training.

Welcome to the blog, you live in a great area! I love it up there. It would be great to do some higher altitude running with you. Ill have to keep in contact with you. I dont really know anyone up there but its not a long drive. Hope this blog keeps you motivated! I am the same way and it has helped me.

Steve, It was great to get to meet you this morning. Thanks for slowing down for me, give me another week of recovery and I'll be up for more. That being said I like Cody's suggestion and would love to join you guys for that. Chad and I mentioned about going up and running the trails in Park City for some altitude long runs and sometime after Ogden I think we should get a large group of bloggers to head up there. (I'd be willing to head up before.)

Hey all,

Thanks for the comments and the welcome.Cody, I'd certainly be willing to meet at Mountain Dell or an area around there anytime.

Paul, I am from the Flint area, but I went to Western Michigan and frequented the GR area quite often. I had some friends attend Aquinas College and GVSU up there and it was always a good time.

I am looking forward to the Relay if I can squeeze onto a team.

Walter, I'm sure the blog will motivate me. Seeing other people's training logs motivates me enough.

Adam, Thanks for meeting me this morning, it was great. I'd love to meet in PC, I know there are some terrific trails over there.

Everyone have a good weekend.

Steve

If you are still looking for a WBR team let me know. I will check back tomorrow. We ran the Utah Valley 5K and would love to have you fill a last minute opening we have.

Hooper - We are one step ahead of you. He has already committed to run with us. Good choice though. He is filling my spot.
