Running Accomplishments:

I started running about ten and a half years ago. I have ran three marathons. SGM in 2005, Ogden in 2006, and SGM 2006. My best time in a marathon is Ut. Valley Marathon 3:59:46. I have ran seven half marathons, some 10k's and 5k"s. My favorite marathon is SGM.I have ran 13 Marathons, will be during my first Ultra in march of 2013, it will be the Antalope Island Buffalo Run, a 50k.

2008 SGM PR 4:02:23 The best is yet to come.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Short term running goal is to increase my four days a week of running to five to six days a week.  Do more speed work this coming year. Bring my times down. I would like to do SGM in 4 hrs or less.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep up with my Brother Clay in a marathon, someday do a sub four hour marathon, and BQ.

Personal:

I have been married for 34Years, and am still madly in love with my wife Wendy. I have four children and six Grand children.

Today it was the coldest I have ever run in the temp, from truck thermometer said 9 degrees. I managed to gut out 6 miles, but it was cold. My time today was 55:23. My right foot is feeling alot better since I got my new shoes, I really like them alot.Can't wait for spring.

Today I choose a diefferent route, I went down to the bishop's storehouse and came up through the river bottoms. Most of the workout is a graudual uphill run. My time today was 1:02:23.

I only got about 4 hrs. of sleep did'nt feel like I had alot of energy, but a slugged it out. I also did 25 min. of upper and lower weight training.

I decided to do the same run today as yesterdays. I felt pretty wack, but finished the workout. It was diffenitly a little warmer today. My time was slower than yeasterdays. Today it was 1:04:56.

I got more sleep last night, about a full 6 hrs. I did feel stronger, bit I ran slower.

Today I felt like increasing my mileage a little to a 7 miler. I don't know How I will feel tommorrow, but we will see. My total time today was 1:07:13. I burned 1167 calories. I ran the same route I have been doing the last few days, but in reverse. That gave me some down hill training, with the last mile and a half uphill with about a 6 percent grade.

I also did 25 min. of upper body weight training. During my run I seen 25 head of Elk and about that many Deer. It was way cool.

Today there is to much family stuff going on, so I only have time for 25 min. Nordic Track and I did 25 min. Upper body strength training. Plan on doing at least a 7 miler tommorrow.

Today I made it a real easy day, did not push it at all. I just wanted to do a real comfy pace. Instead of my slow turtle pace I ramped her down into granny turtle. It was actually a nice morning for a run it was a balmy 16 degrees, very comfortable. There was a little south breeze and it looked like the air was starting to mix a little, hopefully some of this yukkie air will clear out.

The last .55 mile split was at 8:39 I did try and push it a little at the end. I also did 20 min. of weight's on my legs with the Bowflex. All in all I think I had an ok week.
