Easier pace today. Ran about half with Nikki and the rest solo. Good to just get out and talk. I'm lucky to have a wife who likes to run as well. Had a friend fall rock climbing on Saturday and he's pretty messed up. His heels are shattered and is pretty much guaranteed to have pain in them for the rest of his life. I was visiting him last night and the Doctor told him he wasn't ever going to be a runner. Made me think how really fragile and luck we are to be able to run and put in the miles we do.

Ouch! Seems like most hobbies come with some risks. Hope he rebounds and is positive. Great run this morning!

Positive will be the key. He's going to be laid up for around 6 months. This guy barely watches TV and is an absolute work horse. It's going to be tough. Friend number 2 who's fallen and got hurt climbing. Making me think about throwing away my gear so it doesn't happen to me.

Praying for a good recovery for your friend. This life is a gift from God and we need to use it to our best abilities. If you have an aptitude to run, we should use it for this and always be thankful.

Wow how terrible. I too will pray for your friend. Jeff I love how you put it. God wants us to use our talents He of course gave them to us.

Curt and I may run Pocatello Craig so maybe we will see you there!
