Felt like I needed to get in some type of a quality speed workout today. So I warmed up a mile then went 1 M at MP then 3 at HMP then 4 at MP then a short cool down. 9/56:56/6:20. Would have liked to have done more at HMP but I am feeling the effects of not running much the last couple of weeks. Is seems like my endurance has gone into the tank. Heart rate was much higher than normal at these paces. Talked with my wife about the whole burnout issue and she talked a little sense into me telling me nothing is fun when you're hurt...makes sense, I guess she is always right. Ankle feeling a bit better, no ibuprofen yesterday, a little before the run today. It doesn't hurt so much to walk on but is very sensitive to touch (very painful) I can put any pressure on it without a ton of pain. Walking and run, not much pain. |
