I gained 30 lbs. during the service and came back out of shape; however I knew that if the Lord wanted me to once again run competitively, he would bless me to return to fitness.
I graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. I currently run for Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Favorite Blogs: |

| | Warmed up about 1.5-2 miles, then did 3(3X300m with 100m jog recovery and 30 sec. rest after that) and 800m between sets. I was around 48s for the first three, then 44, 47, and 48 on the second one, and then 48, 46, and 45 on the third one. We cooled down after, then I ran 4 miles later at my house.

| | A completely awful day at school(yes, for some reason we still had school today), so I decided to go on a long run. It was my longest run yet, so I'm happy with it.

| | Supposed to be an easy day, but it wasn't easy. Still was slow, but yesterday took more out of me than I had originally thought.

| | 10 miles with Ethan. I had originally planned a workout, but the snow and wind was insane, so when Ethan asked if I wanted to go, I quickly agreed. It was pretty nuts early on, the wind and snow felt like tiny icicles shooting into my face when we were at sunny side, but when we got in the canyon it was nicer.

| | 5 miles tempo. . ish, 5 miles easy. The roads were mostly covered in snow, especially around my third mile. My first mile wasn't that great, but my time still should've been faster. I averaged 5:28 or 5:29, which, at first I was okay with, but then I realized it was a slower pace than my half marathon I ran in 9th grade, and I really think I could've pushed it a lot more. Maybe I ate too much chocolate yesterday.

| | I woke up and felt sore. The run was good, but I just felt super sore from the mileage. I have a lot more respect for marathoners and anyone else who runs a lot of miles in a week. This was a hard week, but I got more miles in than I ever had in one week. I ran the canyon, but turned around early because the snow was terrible. I then extended to Sky View before heading home.
