I gained 30 lbs. during the service and came back out of shape; however I knew that if the Lord wanted me to once again run competitively, he would bless me to return to fitness.
I graduated from Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. I currently run for Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Favorite Blogs: |

| | We ran up a neat trail in Ogden canyon. Saw some moose, which was nice because I was just trying to stay up with the group, and they stopped a bit to point out the moose. We gained a lot of elevation, and I could feel yesterday's run, so it was a bit tough for me.

| | Nice run. I felt pretty good for the most part. Ran with Andrew Brewer and Zac Jacklin on the way back. Our last mile was pretty quick, about 5:30ish.

| | Warm up, then a fartlek work out. 10, 5, 3, 2, 1, with equal "rest" at 6:40 pace(except the 10 min had 5 min. Rest). I didn't feel great during the warm up, but felt good the first mile of the 10 min. After 8 minutes the group dropped me, but I think I still hit 2 miles. The 5 minute one was tough, then the 3 minute one was downhill and I stayed with the group, the last 2 were pretty tough. It's fun running with such a big and great group. Nice cool down after.

| | We ran a trail today. It was bushy later on in the run. It was pretty slow, but I am not particularly good at trails, so that may have contributed.

| | Long run today. It felt better than any run yet. I did the first 7 with the group, then turned around with a few other guys that were only running 14. I ran the last 7 miles with Connor Ross, and we kept speeding it up. In there somewhere we hit a 5:20 mile. Our 13 mile split was about 1:14:20, then we slowed down for our last mile, which was 6:15. Tough run, I hurt a lot, but I feel like it's my best run yet since returning home.
Also, this is my highest mileage week ever, so that's a cool thing for me.
