Final Run of the year! Got a flat on the way to Providence Canyon. Lame. Ended up running from the tire store while they repaired it. Got a few more road miles and less trail miles. Not what I wanted to do, but I only had time for that option. Best news though was that the 9 miles didn't hurt at all. My new year's resolution is to not get injured....again. Yeah right. T-1:18 (8:40) 1200' vert ** This run put me over 2500 miles for the year. 635 miles were cross-training but still not a bad year for being injured for so much of it. That brings me to my Year-in-Review
This year was loaded with highs and lows. It was a year of rough injuries but was also a great year for trail running. Highlights - Completed my first 50 miler (Pocatello) Ran my 4th Logan Peak Race to another (3rd) 4th place finish Paced at Hardrock 2nd Place at El Vaquero Loco 85 miles at the Bear 100 - still one of my favorite days ever!
Lowlights - Injured in Jan through March with ITBS Injured in August while waterskiing DNF at Bear 100 - 4 days in Hospital with Rhabdomyosis Injured in October - L5 Radiculopathy
I still managed to run a TON while I was healthy and got to enjoy many Saturdays with Joe in the mountains.
