Providence Canyon Trail - uneventful but great

T- 1:20:00 (11.5 mph) 1750' Vert 15.5 miles

Took a half day vacation and spent the afternoon hiking Crimson Trail with Bethany.  It was a blast.  The river is flooding over the trail so we did an out and back on the trail rather than return along the trail.  Hopefully the trail survives. 2 hours with 2k' vert.

Any flooding at the house?

I'm guessing the river trail is flooded at that rocky section where you saw the moose, just before the stairs?

River is insanely high, but nope, no flooding. It is actually lower by my house than a few weeks ago.

Yep the trail is under water at that spot. The boardwalk at second dam is underwater too.

Yeah second dam has been under for some time, apparently. At least that's what I've heard from several people who have tried to have bonfires there. I didn't even know as I am never on that side of the river. :) And I think the bushes and rocks should protect the trail at the stairs. It was under about a foot of water a couple of weeks ago when I ran it and it did fine.
