I joined Paul this afternoon for a run up Birch Canyon near his home. We parked at Mack Park and ran up canyon road for almost a mile to the turn-off to Birch. We followed the birch dirt road until we hit the 4 mile mark and turned around. The trail was gorgeous as the leaves were colorful to say the least. The road was a bit muddy and that slowed us a bit, but really the slowness was a combination of laziness and the climb (just over a thousand feet of gain in 4 miles). Great run though! T-61:00 (7:40)
