Airport Loop Time: 64:30 Ave HR: 172 Dan and I ran it medium. I decided to run the TOU Marathon today and I decided to step up the training to be prepared. My training last year for the Vegas Marathon (my first) was pathetic. I trained only 3-5 times a week at only 3 to 9 miles a run. I never ran a long run longer than 10...ever. I have only run the half-marathon distance twice in my life (in high school) and I haven't since the LV Marathon. I hit the wall at mile 18 hard. I still ran 8-8:30 miles after that but I had to stop at each mile drink station for 30 seconds to a minute to recover and regroup. I know the time is short to train, but I plan on training as much as my body can handle over the next 6 weeks. |
