45 min walking in the morning.

I feel better now after a short run in the evening on the treadmill.  I wanted to run to see whether I need to see a doc or continue a slow buildup.  Tonights run was without pain or weirdness in the legs so I take that as a sign to continue the slow buildup.  I ran 3 miles in 27:30 then walked 1/4 mile cooldown.  I wanted to keep it really easy, so I kept the speed between 6mph and 7mph and changed the speed every 30 seconds up and down the ladder.  Kept the incline at 1%.

Hey Cody. Careful with that leg. I wouldn't do more than 3 miles of running for a week just to be safe. Your racing schedule seems pretty packed. I specifically would think you wouldn't want to do a 5k or 10k the week before Ogden marathon.

Very true Michelle. Careful is the key word.

I plan on running no more than 2 miles a day Monday through Friday and then 3 on Saturday. If the leg starts to hurt, stop. I hope that is not too much.

About my racing schedule, I do have some of those races penciled in as maybes. However, I had no issues running a 5K one week before a marathon. In fact, it was a great tune-up for me this year before Ogden. Very easy to recover from a 5K while tapering.

Your workout looks identical to mine...well, except for how long it will take you to run 2 miles...Im so glad things are going well so far. Fingers crossed for a smooth recovery.
