I've run off and on (more off than on) throughout my adult life. Most recently I started running in May of 2007.

5K PR: Colder Bolder in December 2009 in 22:50.

10k PR: Bolder Boulder in May 2009 in 48:06.13.

1/2 Marathon PR: Canyonlands Half-Marathon in March 2010 in 1:43:20.

Marathon PR: Newport (Oregon) Marathon in June 2010 in 3:42:17.

I have completed two full marathons.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Get back to consistent running.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Sub 3:30 marathon.

Personal:

I grew up in Utah, but live in Colorado now.

I am married and am a working mother of four children, ages 9-19.

Well, after 17 days of not running, I finally got my sorry self out the door this morning. It helped that Lindsay wanted to run with me today. I wonder if I can get her to run with me again on Wednesday. I think I'll see if I can manage to run 3 times this week.

I was supposed to meet Lindsay this morning. We don't normally run together on Wednesdays, but I called her last night and talked her into it so that I would be motivated to get out the door this morning. I got to her house at 6:00 as planned and waited five minutes and knocked on the door three times, then I left and ran by myself. This is the first time Lindsay has failed to appear for a planned run. I don't mind running by myself, so mission accomplished. The planned meeting got me out the door.

Easy TM run.

Around 4 pm I finally dragged myself out the door and went to my office and ran on the treadmill. It's snowy and cold here. There's not a lot of snow, but enough to be troublesome. Mostly there's just a lot of cold, which means the snow is not going away.

I really hate running on the treadmill. I don't know how I used to do it. When I started running 3 1/2 years ago, I ran exclusively on the TM for about the first 10 months as I recall.

I need to start running more for my sanity. I need the time alone to clear my head and pound my worries into the ground. This parenting thing is stressful.
