Somewhere between an easy run and a recovery run.

6:30 am, 69° F, 28% humidity, wind 15 SSE.

I felt kind of sluggish today so I took it easy, but apparently not quite easy enough to call it a recovery run. It was an unremarkable run.

AP: 9:26. Splits: 10:02, 9:21, 9:27, 9:18, 9:19, 9:15, 0.36 @ 9:19

Since I don't have much to say about my run, instead I will entertain you with a picture of my youngest son from a couple of weeks ago, and then a picture of the same son from yesterday at Scout camp.

Terrible head wound! Was it from an accident?

Nice recurve bow! Archery is fun.

Yes, he jumped down some stairs at a party and hit his head on the ceiling. The story and his post-staples picture are on my June 14 blog. I just posted the wound picture now because we finally got it off of my husband's phone.

Staples is one tough hombre! Gives me a headache just looking at it.

YIKES! That is a crazy pic!

Nice job keeping the pace up even though you were feeling sluggish. You are one strong chika!

Glad your son's okay.

Nicely unremarkable run.

ewwwwwwwww.

Good news is that the scar will be hidden, the bad news is that the scar will be hidden (and so he will have to go through an elaborate story-telling and "look through my hair" ritual forever ;-) ).

From Carolyn in Colorado on Fri, Jun 25, 2010 at 22:23:59 from 24.8.167.243

He's got another scar on the side of his head and hair doesn't grow on it. It's noticeable only when he has a buzz cut. But this one will be much bigger.

That looked like it hurt!! Head wounds are messy.

Nice splits! Hoping I can get to those times one day.:)

I could do without the gore, but I like the archery picture!! I would love to learn archery. It's on my bucket list.

Archery looks like fun. You've put some good miles in this week. That open gash photo is gross (and cool), but I'm sure he'll love having it to show off his battle wounds.

Nice. Now I need to go read that entry.

My sister married a guy who holds the world record in the long bow, or something. His name is Roger Hoyle. Google him.
