Recovery run.

9:56 am, 50-54° F, 60% humidity, wind 6 S.

I'm taking the day off work today in order to clean my house because my brother is coming from Alabama tomorrow to play the oboe with my church choir on Sunday. This is not my favorite way to spend a day off from work, but oh well. In any case, since I wasn't going to work today, I didn't feel compelled to get up and run early in the morning. Instead, I slept in and then got the kids off to school, did some laundry, and cleaned a bathroom before I went out to run.

I felt very sluggish when I started this run, but then I got feeling better after a couple of miles, which is very typical for me.

Now I need to take a shower in my newly clean bathroom, and then get back to work cleaning the house.

You have a good recovery run pace.

I've spent 3 of the last 4 days I've taken off doing housework. Even if I'm sick, I'm still at home doing stuff. I guess it's the curse of the "mother."

Enjoy your visit with your brother and your clean house :-)

What a horrible way to spend a day off! Have fun with your brother. Weather here in Huntsville is stifling hot today and not a cloud in the sky, so he should (hopefully) have no flight problems. I just came from the Botanical Gardens from a dedication for the Garden of Hope thing I planted at and I literally could feel sweat trickling down my back and legs underneath my dress. I need a shower now.

Definitely not a great way to spend a day off, but at least you got to sleep in a little!

Wow, Carolyn, almost a day off for you! Great pace on the recovery running!

Nice recovery run! I'm glad you got to sleep in a bit, but I'm sorry it's 'clean the house day' I hate it when I know that day is coming! Makes me want to not run at all with all the craziness I'll have to deal with cleaning.

Today is a good day for a recovery run, I hope you got your cleaning done. Your brother is very nice to come play the oboe. I didn't comment yesterday but I saw you running at the intersection of County Line and Quebec. Great job on your miles this week!
