Recovery run.

9:00 am, 63-70° , 35% humidity, wind 2 W, sunny.

I slept in this morning, then got up and checked the Bolder Boulder results, did some reading, and then finally headed out the door. I just tried to keep it easy today and plodded along at a slow pace. I managed to go through a couple of sprinklers when I was in the neighborhood near the end, but they didn't do much for me.

I'm going to try to finally finish the caulking on the tub today. I've been procrastinating. But we're all getting tired of taking showers in the kids' bathroom.

Have fun with that work today!!

What are you reading???

From Carolyn in Colorado on Mon, May 31, 2010 at 19:14:36 from 24.8.167.243

Kelli, I read a short adolescent novel by Lois Lowry called "Number the Stars." It's about two little girls, one of them Jewish, in Denmark during WWII. I finished it before my run this morning.

Now I'm trying to read a book called Godel's Proof (there are supposed to be two dots over the o in Godel, but I don't know how to do that). My son gave it to me to read. It's about math.

And I just finished the caulking. I got a little bit of it in my hair.

Hooray for your run and finishing your caulking!

Nice job on keeping it easy and a true recovery run! I'm glad you got the caulking done and don't have to use the kids shower.

I'm in charge of picking a book for book club (since Kelli brought it up :) ). Any good suggestions from you or Kelli? Or ANYONE? I'm horrible at choosing books. I just like to have them picked for me.

I'm just finishing The Help. Sarah's Keys is also really good.

OH! I taught sixth grade and we read Number the Stars every year. EXCELLENT book. I have never heard of the other one, though!

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, or did I already tell you that one??? The House at Riverton is very good...let me keep thinking. I can always give you a list Rachel!
