Recovery run.

6:43 am, 48° F, 32% humidity, wind 5 SSE.

Thankfully yesterday's strong winds are gone. We've got quite a pleasant morning today.

I set my alarm last night but neglected to turn it on. No matter. I only overslept by 20 minutes. And all I really needed to do again this morning was make sure that Thing 3 was up on time because once again, Thing 2 doesn't go to school until about 8:30. And today is the last day of school for my kids, so I'm going to be even more lazy in the mornings in the coming days. My husband still has school for the rest of the week, though, so I still have to deal with his getting up early.

I worked hard for a couple of hours last night trying to remove caulking from my bath tub. That is no easy job. I got most of it, but I need to take another crack at it tonight. I'm wondering if I have the guts to re-caulk it myself or if I should find someone who knows what they're doing.

AP: 10:13. Splits: 10:31, 10:08, 9:56, 10:16.

I saw some product once on TV that helps you to scrape it so the caulking still looks neat. I'd find something like that. I tried once to do it myself and it didn't end up looking too great.

I'm surprised that your kids and hubby end school this early, too. It seems like everyone I talk to goes at least one more week.

Nice recovery!

What a nice break from you high miles. We ran the same amount today! I am glad the wind is gone, it was not fun at all. Good luck with the caulking, I have never done it before so I have no advice on making it look nice.

nothing better than a nice, easy run! i am envious that you will soon be sleeping in for the summer... lucky you!

last week of school? Oh, drat. We have 11 more days of school after today. Enjoy your summer sunny morning runs!

Good luck with the caulk. When I see a pro do it, it looks so easy and I think it's something I can do too. But whenever I try to do it myself...ick.

low humidity, calm winds, 48°, 20 extra minutes of sleep... the perfect running conditions.

feel the green vibes of jealously coming your way...

Taaaaaper. It is so hard to get motivated to get up and go when you are tapering. I think so anyway. At least you got the miles in. Great job.

Nice work on the recovery miles, near perfect day! I never thought caulking was hard, looks easy; however, I've never done it myself :) Guess I'm not trying now!

Yeah, I'm glad that wind is gone too.

Perfect timing with the taper just as your kids school ends and you can get some extra zzzzz's.

In my opinion removing caulk is much more difficult than putting it on. When I tried removing the caulk in our shower I had to call in some extra muscle a.k.a. Aaron to really get it all.

Sweet run

Wow! That must have felt weird to only go 4 miles. And now you have so much extra energy you are removing caulk! Just find someone, I think.
