Recovery run.

6:30 am, 57° F, 87% humidity, wind 3 WNW.

I felt sluggish at the start of this run, but that is neither surprising nor unusual. And I got feeling better as the run went on. I didn't really have any pain or soreness.

There were a lot of runners out this morning. I guess people prefer the warm weather over the cold. That's strange.

Regarding a big factor in yesterday's stress, the crisis was averted.

Way to get in that recovery run! I'm sure you were itching to run these last few days!

And glad the crisis was averted, whatever it was.

I think some people run all summer and think man that is hard..and don't give fall and spring running a chance...I HATE summer running...

NIce recovery run! Good to know that the crisis was averted!

I'm with April, I hate summer running, and the only thing I don't like in the winter is the slippery roads, but when the road is clear I really like running in the cold!

i'm not a big fan of summer running either. in the winter it takes a few minutes to warm up, but after that, you feel great! in the summer it just gets worse and worse the longer you are out.

way to get in some miles, carolyn!

Good job on the little recovery run! Not surprised you felt sluggish in the beginning. It is weird, isn't it, how, once you've become an all year runner, it is strange that people flock out only in the summer.

"I suggest you take some rest and recover your strength."

"Recover my strength?? Humph!"

Name that movie.

Nice first-post-marathon run.

QP said on my blog yesterday that there should be a place for 'stress' tracking on the blog - wouldn't that be nice? Then we could see how much real life affected our running!

Glad things are working their way out - both physically and stressfully! Enjoy your recovery.
