Medium-long run.

5:46 am, 35°F, 60% humidity, winds calm.

Man, it takes a long time to run 14 miles. This run just went on, and on, and on, and on, and on. I ran my hilly home/office loop, but that's only about 9 or 10 miles, so then I had to do a bunch of wandering around the 'hood to get to 14 miles. Tuesdays are tough on this training plan.

It looks like we're going to get a snow storm in the next day or two. Drat.

we got a snow storm this morning here in logan. double drat. it's much more depressing to see snow after it has been warm. the good thing is that it will melt fast. great job on the 14-miler. you are tough.

It was 70* here in Alabama on Saturday and Sunday was nice too, but a bit cooler. Then yesterday (Monday) we had snow all day long. Today, back into the mid-60's and tomorrow is supposed to be in the 70's. I'd like the 70's year-round.

i feel your pain. sometimes i just feel like i wander around town forever trying to get mileage in for the day.

and yeah, snowstorms in spring seem to put a damper on things...

From The Quiet Pirate on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 14:17:28 from 24.199.205.252

You ran another half marathon in 3 day's time!

Hope the snow doesn't do much except make things look beautiful.

I tried the cue today, and when I was using it, I ended up going fast. Is there a way to use the cue and keep an easy pace? Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

14 miles!! Way to go! We are having some seriously crazy wind in Utah valley. Spring is full of fun weather. Going to try to go to the library this afternoon.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 14:31:22 from 24.8.167.243

I always speed up a wee bit when I use any of the cues. To use the cue and go slow, try slowing down your cadence and/or take shorter steps.

Nice work again Ms. Consistent! If it's the storm that passed us, it's not bad and it melts quickly. I think we would've gotten more if it was cooler, but the snow stayed minimal and the roads were just wet - not slushy.

Wow great run after a PR 1/2 you are amazing!

14 mile Tuesdays. Yikes. Nice going!

From Michelle on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 16:54:16 from 71.218.114.99

14 miles does seem like it would take forever, not that I have ever even ran that far. Three days after the Moab 1/2 would also make it seem longer. Good job sticking it out. I hope the snow comes and goes quickly. I am ready for warm weather!

From Kelli on Tue, Mar 23, 2010 at 17:37:53 from 71.219.89.155

We got our snow today! Yuck, winter go away already! Now it is just crazy windy.

14 miles on a Tuesday in ONE run is a lot (you notice I always broke mine up....too wimpy t pull that off on a Tuesday!) GREAT JOB, this is some serious training plan! PLUS, you just ran a half!!!!

Hi Carolyn! I just now read your race report, and I am so happy for you. What a great race, and nice steady, FAST miles! Beautiful. Sorry it took me so long to congratulate you; I've been a little wrapped up in my own problems, but reading your report certainly made me smile!
