GA run + 10 x 10 sec. hill sprints.

6:55 am, 60-65° F, 50% humidity, wind 8 SSE, sunny.

I didn't run last Saturday because it was my daughter's birthday and I thought I should be home in the morning and give her a birthday breakfast instead of being out running all morning like I usually am. It's not looking good for me to run this coming Saturday either, because she is getting baptized that morning. Also, we'll have a bunch of family here visiting for the occasion.

I also haven't checked blogs all weekend. I apologize. I'll try to check everyone's blogs today, but I've got a busy day at work.

In any case, I failed to get up sufficiently early once again today. I went out for the run anyway.

My recent training plan didn't include any hill sprints and I think I would have been better off doing them, so I decided to get back into them. I was a little sluggish on them today. I did them at the end of my run and walked home when I was finished.

My biggest problem this morning was thigh chafing. I've got to get some compression shorts, or something, I guess.

AP: 9:12. Splits: 9:24, 9:02, 9:03, 8:57, 9:09, 8:44, 8:52, 0.94 @ 8:56. The rest of the distance was the hill sprints. I'm not going to report the pace on the hill sprints.

We forgive you.

You sound a little stressed! Get through your day and don't worry about keeping up on the blogs. You've got other important things to do, I'm sure!

I hope you enjoy this week and enjoy having your family around for your daughter's baptism. A missed run isn't going to kill you.

Congrats to you and your daughter! Family visiting will be "fun."

It seems like Summer sort of takes over, as I've found less and less time to keep up with the blog lately. Too much going on. At least I know the blog is always here when I have time.

I have also been having trouble getting to the blog, I guess that is just part of summer. COngrats on the baptizm and birthday!

I think it's wonderful that your daughter got her birthday breakfast and all of your attention Saturday mornings. I know how those Saturday runs can suck up all our family time.

Hope your week-end of family and special baptism goes well for you. I would probably need a quick mental health run if some of my family came to visit.

And the great thing about the blog is: you can put if off, and it will always be here waiting for you when your life slows down and you have time to be a socialite again :-)

Hooray for being a great Mom! Sometimes our lives revolve around running and races (which can be good and bad)! Have a great weekend with family!
