Easy run.

7:27 am, 46° F, 45% humidity, winds calm.

I didn't run yesterday because I'm not quite ready for 6 days/week yet. I'm shooting for 4 days this week. Two down, two to go.

I took the day off from work yesterday and just hung out with my kids and goofed off all day. My 8-year-old daughter has recently become interested in Harry Potter and so we're reading the books together. We finished the first one over the weekend and we're about half way through the second one now. My 16-year-old son seems to always manage to be in the room when we're reading. He's read all of the books already (as have I0, but seems to be enjoying listening anyway (as am I).

I've got to work today. Oh well.

I can't WAIT to read Harry Potter with my kids! That's awesome that you're doing that (and awesome that your boy isn't "too cool" to be in on that!).

Good run!

You're doing great Carolyn! I'm glad you were able to take the day off and just goof around - you deserve it!

I'm reading HP to my 6 year old, but we can't go that fast. One chapter a day (or every other day) is all he has the patience to sit and listen for. I'm hoping we can finish all the books by next July when the final movie comes out!

oh, and my 10 year old that has read them likes to listen as well. Crazy!

I love the Harry Potter books!! My daughter-in-law had never read them or seen any of the movies. Her and my son are reading them together.

Clan Sno loves HP! (Jim Dale does a great job on the audio version if you ever have a long car trip to fill up.) We started reading them when our daughter was 9. The books get kind of heavy after book 3, because Rowling was writing them for her own children, who were becoming teens and young adults and could handle the heavier subject matter. Book 7, in my opinion is totally brilliant, the way she ties everything from the earlier books together, and the messages about love and bravery.

Good idea with the 4 day a week build up. Enjoy your week!

I am glad you get to read to your big guy still! What fun that he still likes Harry Potter. Four days a week sounds totally rational.
