Easy run.

7:00 am, 68° F, 21% humidity, wind 5 S, sunny.

I've really got to figure out a way to get to bed earlier and get up earlier over the summer even though the rest of the family is on a late schedule. Also, I haven't been carrying water with me because my runs have not been more than an hour long lately. But I'm going to have to start wearing the dreaded fuel belt when my miles start getting a little higher next week. I was dripping with sweat when I got home this morning even though I did not run terrifically far or fast.

dripping with sweat at 68° and 21% humidity? please come to alabama for a week. as my friend of mine put it the other day when it was 103° in the shade, "my sweat is sweating."

Okay, I shouldn't complain. It's not so bad here.

It seems like anything above 65 degrees induces sweat. Looks like the recovery is going great. How are you liking the faster pace?

I need to carry water with me even on a 5 miler...but that is just b/c I hate dry mouth!

KP--103? that is ridiculous!!! I'd be running at midnite just so I wouldn't have to deal with that heat!

From RAD on Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 10:11:00 from 67.172.229.125

yuck - I hate the fuel belt! I'm REALLY glad it's not 103 with 100% humidity!! I'll take dry desert heat over humidity ANY day!

Nice job on the run and keeping that pace in your new range.

Good run. How are you feeling with the marathon recovery? It felt a little cooler to me this morning.

I suggest getting an eye mask and some earplugs. It's almost like a sensory deprivation chamber, your own little Land of Nod.

april, i always carry water too! and, i have to chew gum. it helps with the dry mouth. if i forget it, i get mad and it is all i can think about. it isn't quite as hot at midnight, maybe 80ish, but it is still just as humid. you are dripping within 2 minutes. it sucks.

I chew gum too!

The summer schedule always throws off my mojo too!

From auntieem on Fri, Jun 18, 2010 at 16:26:37 from 24.18.77.246

I always go to bed earlier than the rest of my family, because I get up so early. In the summer it just gets harder, because I want to be up later, and still get up earlier. Everyone else around here would get up at 9 or even 10 if I didn't make so much noise. But by 7am if noone is up, I think it is fair to make all the noise I want.

Nice run, even if a little sweaty!
