Easy run. Average pace: 9:38.

Weather: 46°F, 61% humidity, wind 7 SE.

Another busy morning. I hope things ease up once school is out.

Thing 3 has a slight cold and I've got to keep him home because the school is all paranoid and freaked out about swine flu.

Nice run today! Sorry things are so crazy for you lately, I hope they slow down for you soon.

Funny how schools get all paranoind, I guess they have to protect everyone. Better to be safe then sorry. Hope thing 3 feels better soon.

Ha ha. Swine flu. The excessive paranoia makes me laugh. One of my friend's schools closed because they had a sick kid, not even necessarily a probable case.

The media is finally jumping on board that they might have over-reacted to this whole swine flu thing. Hopefully, the rest of the nation will get it. Way to still get out.

Oh the swine flu hype is driving me crazy.

I forgot to mention what Brad Hudson was like. For one thing, he's really plump! I know many coaches are, but I guess I thought he'd be different, and look more like a runner. Anyhow, he has a kind of guarded, grumpy manner, but I still enjoyed hearing him talk. The only thing with which I disagree (and he mentioned it again at the expo) was about "junk miles" for older runners. He was interviewed by a kind of obnoxious guy who, I thought, asked stupid questions. Most of the questions were about Ritzenhein, who was standing next to him, also fielding questions. There was only a short period at the end for runners to ask. Interesting, but not the concentration on discussion of his training philosophy, which I would have enjoyed hearing.

Swine flu? What's that? Should I get rid of my pigs or what?
