I've been running two or three times per week with Michelle and Michelle since about the beginning of the year. Each time my run is about 3 miles. They run 5 miles, but they have to run farther than I do to get to our meeting place and then the route goes past my house and I stop at that point and they have to continue on to get home.

We are really slow because I'm fat and out of shape now. Also, Michelle is pregnant again, so she has slowed down a bit, though she's in much better shape than I am.

We run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but I miss a day sometimes for various reasons. For example, I'm going to miss this Friday because I need to come in to work early for a meeting with someone in London.  But I made up for the missed Friday already this week. Another woman I know, Marci, wants to start running with me. But whe can do it only every other Tuesday because her husband doesn't have to work those days and so he can be home with the kids in the morning while we run. Yesterday was the first day that both of us were able to make it and so I ran with her yesterday. As a result, I've already got my three days this week since I ran on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

I need to get my eating under control so that I can lose some weight. Then I will be able to run faster and get in better shape. I'm struggling with the food right now. There are several things in my life that are stressing me out and I'm having a hard time pulling myself together.

I don't know that I'll be on the blog much, but I wanted to let you know that I'm still alive and kicking.

I'm so glad to hear you're still running, Carolyn! I'm starting back at the rugged beginning after taking off for ... too long! But my baby is now 8 months old, so it's time to stop putting it off. :)

You're out and doing it! That is the important part. Obviously, I've missed a few weeks :) plus, I've been a really bad blogger lately. Just no time.

Happy Birthday today Carolyn! I hope those stresses have eased enough to give you a good break - at least for today. Hope to see you around this summer if you make it out here!!
