DC loop. Just perfect running conditions this morning. Starting at 36 F and warming with the sun. Ran into Scott over at the DC and he joined for a couple. Felt pretty sluggish today... hope it's just a Monday. Plus the IT on the right side has been supper tight.

DC loop starting with River road then cutting off short and not going around the park. Just felt rotten today. The right knee pain is almost a 9. Hip hurt around normal pain but the two combined just made things almost undoable. I think I've yet to recover from last weeks 20 mile run on Weds then the hard bike and running on Thursday. Hoping to stretch good today and maybe get out again this evening.

5.6 miles around the inner B-hills loop. Felt a little better tonight than this morning.

Ran with Logan early. DC loop then extended with some miles around LV. Felt pretty crappy.

DC loop. I've felt just horrible this week. Hip tight. Right IT Band tight. Even my old broken ankle has been super painful. Unusual sore and acheyness all over to be exact... So running has just sucked. Today felt slightly better. Not good but a little better and it was a blessing. I guess I'll still follow the same rule of "I have good days and bad days".

86 F today. First time all year over 80 and it was actually HOT out.

Another ol DC loop. Still pretty soreish. But I made myself pick up the pace from the DC up the River trail and up River Road to home. I figured if I'm gonna hurt I might as well run a little faster... pain was about the same.

73 mile ride on the bike. Went from my house out around the park then out past the airport. This put me out a little more than 12 miles- then I just came back. Did that out and back 3 times. Hit a 21.4 mph avg doing the ride in 3:24:10. Went 21.3, 21.5, 21.4 respectively per lap. So just an nice even push. Felt good and in control throughout. 2549 ascent and 2560 decent according the garmin. It's just rolling hills the entire ride.

6 mile run. Got off the bike and hurried through the transition into the run.  The run was totally different from the ride.... the run sucked. I had planned on doing 13 or so but after 3 miles out I decided to turn around. The bad factors included it was around 83-85 F and full sun. My stomach was upset from drinking WAY too much water at the transition (learning moment) and more than anything my hip hurt too much to run. I've been fighting it all week and today I just got sick of fighting it. So after 3 miles out at 7:02, 6:42, 6:50 I stopped turned the garmin off and headed back home.

Not the super brick workout I wanted but I'm still jazzed about how well the bike went. And the good thing is outside of my hip injury I'm coming off the bike and still able to run sub 7 min pace if not around 6:40 once I get the legs going.
