I got all dressed up early this morning and even stretched but as I was walking out the door I just didn't feel like going. So I came back in and got undressed and pushed it off until later in the day. Then around 11 or so this morning I went over to the DC and did a run on the way to the office. I went from the DC over by Flying J and then up and around Bloomington Hills to River Road. Then down to the trail off River road and up around Bloomington Hills back to the DC. It turned out to be a great run with very little hammy pain once I got warmed up. I never tried to push the pace at all but just focused on smooth, and straight alignment. I'd have to back off over and over again as I started to drop the pace below 6:30. I ended up doing the 8.8 mile loop in 1:02:20 right around 7:05 pace avg. |
