73 mile ride on the bike. Went from my house out around the park then out past the airport. This put me out a little more than 12 miles- then I just came back. Did that out and back 3 times. Hit a 21.4 mph avg doing the ride in 3:24:10. Went 21.3, 21.5, 21.4 respectively per lap. So just an nice even push. Felt good and in control throughout. 2549 ascent and 2560 decent according the garmin. It's just rolling hills the entire ride.

6 mile run. Got off the bike and hurried through the transition into the run.  The run was totally different from the ride.... the run sucked. I had planned on doing 13 or so but after 3 miles out I decided to turn around. The bad factors included it was around 83-85 F and full sun. My stomach was upset from drinking WAY too much water at the transition (learning moment) and more than anything my hip hurt too much to run. I've been fighting it all week and today I just got sick of fighting it. So after 3 miles out at 7:02, 6:42, 6:50 I stopped turned the garmin off and headed back home.

Not the super brick workout I wanted but I'm still jazzed about how well the bike went. And the good thing is outside of my hip injury I'm coming off the bike and still able to run sub 7 min pace if not around 6:40 once I get the legs going.
