Wow-it was a windy one today. Got up and did 3 sets of 8 minutes at threshold followed by 1 minute ez then one minute hard, then 3 minutes recovery. (Hopefully jake from the blog doesn't mind me copying his workout) I really liked this one and hope to add more sets this training cycle. Ran 1.31 in 8 minutes for all 3 cycles which is 6:07 pace. My one minute ez was around 7:45 pace and my 1 minute hard was between 5:35-5:44 pace for all 3 sets. 3 minute recovery was between 7:30-8:00 pace. Overall average pace on this one besides warm up cool down was 6:30 for 5.5 miles. Felt great today! |
