Ran in durango co today. Was planning on 2x2 miles at tempo pace but it didn't go as planned. Ran on the highway in the canyon. 8000 plus feet. Anyway, did 1.5 warm up then started my 2 mile tempo. First mile was 6:10 and then I decided to run on a dirt trail and go by effort. This trail got more and more rocky and steep as it went up. My 2nd mile split was 9:12 lol. After my tempo my right calf started hurting a bit. Due to this and the terrain I decided to just take it easy back to the condo. I typically alwAys finish my workouts as planned but this time I felt it was right to listen to my body. |
