I tried running my 9 mile loop again today. The one that I epically failed on last Saturday. I didn't fail quite as much today, but I wouldn't consider it a success.
I started out just after 7:30, but it was already hot and humid, so I did have to take a few cool down walk breaks. I would walk back the way I had come so I'd get a little extra mileage in and have a good long cool-down at the end. With 3 miles left, I was running low on water and the heat was kicking into high gear. I went a 1/4 mile out of my way to stop at a friend's house to beg for water out of her hose. I actually scored some cold fridge water instead, and it was a welcome relief. I'm going to have to leave some water bottles out on my routes ahead of time if I run anything over 6 miles. I sweat so much that I need to hydrate often. Sweaty pirates like to drink- got that?
