Workout with the Black Sheep at Sugarhouse Park. It was cold and dark. And the air stunk. But there we were, a merry band of running freaks traversing the park in search of early morning thrills. John Straley designed this workout so that we would basically run up each of the 4 hills in the outer loop of the park four times (up, then down, then up etc)-- for a total of 16 hill repeats per lap. We did two laps, so that's 32 reps. On the second loop around the park we lengthened the distance to be run on the hills. I was surprised at the end to see how far we had run. It added up quickly. It was a good workout. |
